TOP 3 RECORDS:
1. Future of the Left- Travels with Myself and Another
A true kick directly into the pants, this band stormed into my life earlier this year, held me as their gunpoint hostage, and now i've got a true case of the stockholm syndrome. i want to join their cause! which is hopeless (the singer falco puts this pretty plainly/gruffly in the third song) no matter. this band is doing great things in a world of shit (or shite, as falco would spit it, in the angriest british accent i have ever heard) falco channels pretty absurd "stories" of blasphemy and head-wrenching with his wits about him the whole time, his full-throttled mouth experiments destroy any dorky punk revivalists, who need to try to sound pissed off, this guy is the real god damn deal, and he is shredding your face until the album ends, and yet, yet, yet..... his vocals/melodies are somehow are more catchy than most shit i hear on the radio these days, excuse me, shite, buy this shit or piss off, wanker!
2. Bill Callahan- Sometimes I wish We were an Eagle
bill callahan's new album sounds like two people leaping from the twin towers and fucking on the way down.
3. Kaospilot- Shadows
i used to love this band in high school and basically any band that kind of sounded like them, so when i heard they had a new album, i knew i would like it just based on nostalgia alone, but god damn, this band somehow cranked their spazzy brand of skinny-guy hardcore into a new more slamming force, a force of beautiful tones, fiery throats spouting norwegian lyrics most likely about heartbreak and cold stuff, breakdowns that dont make you cringe, and they dont let up the whole time, which is good for us, because we are young and we must bang our heads in unison whilst driving fast, TRU SKRAM 2002-2004
