Oh Shit! They Flipped It!

Pretty clever, right? This book actually came out back in 2007, but has only recently jumped to the top of the bestsellers lists due to Glenn Beck (or someone who works for Glenn Back) finding out about it. This is the description on Amazon:

For the past three decades, many history professors have allowed their biases to distort the way America’s past is taught. These intellectuals have searched for instances of racism, sexism, and bigotry in our history while downplaying the greatness of America’s patriots and the achievements of "dead white men."

As a result, more emphasis is placed on Harriet Tubman than on George Washington; more about the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II than about D-Day or Iwo Jima; more on the dangers we faced from Joseph McCarthy than those we faced from Josef Stalin.

A Patriot’s History of the United States corrects those doctrinaire biases. In this groundbreaking book, America’s discovery, founding, and development are reexamined with an appreciation for the elements of public virtue, personal liberty, and private property that make this nation uniquely successful. This book offers a long-overdue acknowledgment of America’s true and proud history.

And these are the people who wrote it:

That very smugly concerned looking individual on top is particularly monstrous. A quick glance at his body of work revealed that he is also the author of a few books on similar subjects such as 48 Liberal Lies About American History and America's Victories: Why the U.S. Wins Wars and Will Win the War on Terror. He transcends this laughable ridiculousness, however, in a work of fiction he authored titled September Day, which is a fictional re-imagining of the events of 9/11. This is the unforgivably sensationalist cover:

It gets worse. Here's the description:

September 11 was a day no American can forget, and the reactions it provoked remain with us today. Through the eyes of several individuals, we have a much clearer picture of that deadly day. Meet: -Michael Callahan, FDNY, who finds himself inside the tower as the unthinkable happens. -Falik Maleed, Osama bin Laden's personal assistant, dedicated killer and terrorist, who nevertheless develops misgivings about his employer. -Thomas Palmer, professional football player, who abandons a life of wealth and fame to join the Army to fight bin Laden, then gets his wish. -"Connie" Cataris, an Ivy League economist, whose startling discoveries put him in the middle of an international plot involving bin Laden's financing that threatens to turn the world community upside down The paths of these seemingly unrelated people soon intersect with the lives of terrorist Mohammad Atta, patriotic airline passenger Rod Trainor aboard Flight 93, and dedicated CIA agents Lonnie Jackson and Cliff Harrison, with explosive---and tragic---results. This is the story of 9/11 you never heard, told in a way you never imagined!

He actually just fictionalized the lives of real people, effectively appropriating their lives to fit the narrative he is trying to sell about American greatness, the contours of which I think we can all imagine based on his previous work. And Pat Tillman, no less! Shame on this horrible human being. There aren't enough hells in the universe for people like this.

What the kidz are sayin'

which definition is correct?

we might need to put a poll on this one, it could get nasty

but I think we can be certain that we cake eaters are from Edina, MN

1. a slap-in-the-face term used by Terry of the Mighty Ducks, he reffers to his teammate as a "cake eater" that means that his teammate eats more cake than anyone on his team combined...
"cake eater"
"betta recognize bitch"

2. A cake eater actually refers to Edina, MN, saying the people in it are so rich they can have their cake and eat it too. It could also refer to rich white suburban kids in general, too. And BTW- Mighty Ducks was filmed in Minnesota, so he's probably literally calling that kid a cake-eater from Edina.
"look at that f*cker driving his brand new BMW out of the school parking lot. what a cake eater"

3. In Minnesota this goes as follows:
Usually used as a derogative term for calling a person of wealth a spoiled 'you have it too easy' piece of shit brat!
Usually called to rich kids who drive BMWs and Mercedes-Benz's and get their college and college housing totally paid for and also get a hefty monthly allowance that's so great that they have absolutely no need to work in order to maintain their lavish lifestyle. This is a cake eater.
Synonymous with calling someone: Spoiled rich little fuck!
Cassi: "Did you see Jesse's new BMW? He thinks he's so damn cool driving around in it but we all know his daddy bought it for him - and plus, the kid doesn't know how to drive it anyways!"
Tim: "Yeah, but dont worry about that cocky fucker, he's just another cake eater!"

4. A person from Edina, MN. Used because normal people only eat cake on their birthdays or for some other special occasion, while people from Edina eat cake for breakfast because they think they're better than everyone else.
Edina kid: "OMG! i scratched daddy's BMW! looks like i have to get a new one!"
Minneapolis kid: "Shut the fuck up before i rip you to pieces you fuckin cake eater"

5. EDINA MINNESOTA HOCKEY KIDS........Enough said, It's a common term used mostly by hockey players, who play "Rich" or "Wealthy" kids from the rich suburbs of Edina, Bloomington Jefferson...ect. It's derived from the Movie "The Mighty Duck's" it's pretty much where it started.
Man look at that team, everyone of them has brand new skates and hockey sticks, and man they even got stick bags to cover there sticks. I saw one kid even had a Butler carry in his hockey bag.......... what a bunch of "Cake Eater's"

6. One who very much much enjoys tricking his friends, and dragging them to random bars, to ultimately end up at a bar where his girlfriend "coincidently" happens to be at; ultimately causing his friend to catch a cab home alone- all so he can eat his girlfriend's cake. Thus, the cake eater.
Scott: "Hey, this bar sucks (when really it doesn't), I know a much better bar, follow me. Oh, wow, what a coincidence that my girlfriend is here!!"
Me: "You are a cake eater."

7. Cake eater comes from the often misunderstood and misattributed phrase, "Let them eat cake!". Many say it was spoken my Marie Antoinette while others say the quote was originally attributed to Maria Theresa of Spain. Supposedly during the French Revolution when the hungry french were begging for bread to eat Marie replied with "Let them eat cake."
According to Wikipedia, it is in reference to "oven cake" which was used to clean out the brick ovens when too much soot and creosote built up; therefore she was saying "Let them eat crap," because she could care less about their hunger.
As the phrase has been misunderstood, many believed that she was saying, "Let them eat cake"; meaning, if they have no bread then let them eat cake, as her wealth and privilege did not allow her to understand that if the poor could not buy bread then they could also not afford cake. Because of this understanding people not of the bourgeoisie refer to the upper class as "cake eaters", people who are so wealthy and clueless of the difficulty that being poor can bring.
Paris: "Oh, my God, that refugee look is so hot! I would totally love to look like that, I don't know what their complaining about; just look at her cheekbones!"
Angelina: "God Paris, you're such a cake eater!"

8. one who carries on at least one adulterous to his or her primary relationship with no plans to end either relationship; from the expression "to have one's cake and eat it, too" referring to someone wanting to have something both ways
Jane is being such a cake eater, but sooner or later she's going to slip up and get dumped by both of her lovers.
